It is understood that the suspect has remained in hiding until today by telling a hoax that “he has gone out of the country” in order to disrupt the law enforcement process.

When the suspect was in charge, he conspired with the owner of a building called “Wild Apartment” to demolish 6 houses and one commercial house, which were not included in the Corridor Development Plan, in District 4 of Ledata Sub-City, and gave it to be used for the expansion of the building.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s son has announced that he will not participate in the next election.

The son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who is running in the 2026 presidential election, has announced that he will support his father in the election process and will not participate in the next election.

Museveni, 80, has been in power since 1986.
His son is the head of the Ugandan Defense Force and many expect Muhuzi Kainerugaba to be Museveni’s heir apparent.

Following this, Muhuzi said, “I want to announce that I will not contest the election in 2026.”
He also stated that he will focus on the army.

Although there is no word on whether Museveni will continue his seventh term by winning the next election, it is said that his son’s opinion has given a hint that his party will present him as a candidate for the presidency in the next election.

“The security forces will not allow any civilian to lead Uganda after President Museveni. The next leader will only be the military or the police,” said his son Kainerugaba.

Museveni came to power in 1986 after ousting President Milton Obote.
In 2021, he ran for a 6th term and was re-elected with 58% of the vote.
