Teltele District Police Office Commander Deputy Inspector Girma Alemu told Bisrat Radio and Television that the suspect is a 25-year-old youth who went into hiding after killing his brother, Abush Mennzu, with a sharp weapon at 12 o’clock in the evening on September 3, 2017, at 12:00 PM in Borena Zone, Teltele District.

The police investigated the crime, collected the body of the deceased, sent it to the hospital for examination, and tracked down the perpetrator of the crime, working in collaboration with the neighboring districts.
The suspect was trying to hide his identity and go to Kenya through Moyale, but he was arrested on the suggestion of the community.
Deputy Inspector Girma Alemu said that the police, together with the neighboring district and security agencies, will intensify monitoring and control efforts by various individuals to escape and leave the country illegally through the border by committing serious crimes.
Deputy Inspector Girma Alemu added that the police conducted the necessary investigation on the suspect and investigated why he was able to commit the crime against his brother.
