The court gave an order to file charges against Yohannes Daniel on September 3

The Federal High Court has ordered the Criminal Court to file charges against John Daniel on September 3.

It will be recalled that the trial was rescheduled for today, August 4, 2016 to await the results of the police investigation.

The federal police have finished the investigation they were doing on the record of Yohannes Daniel and asked for the time to file charges.

The prosecutor confirmed to the court that he had received the police investigation file dated 1/2016.

The prosecutor requested only 5 days out of the 15 days required for prosecution according to the law.

Accordingly, today’s hearing has been scheduled for Friday, September 3, 2017.

The defendants’ bail was denied and the court ordered that their petitions be heard in a regular hearing.

The suspects who appeared in court today are Yohannes Daniel Berhe, Emmanuel Abraha, Nathaniel Wardwon Shume, Elias Driba Be Dane, Yedidya Ebernet Abebe and Eleni Knefe Tekleab.

It will be remembered that the Federal Police has announced that it has started a criminal investigation against 6 suspects who violated the aviation rules and caused chaos and harassment in a plane traveling from Addis Ababa to Mekelle on August 16, 2016.
