The CEO of Ethio Telecom, Frehivat Tamru, was asked a question about the tariff change in the statement in which he announced the company’s plan for the 2017 fiscal year.
“To the question of whether you can continue without adjusting the price;
It is appropriate and correct,” said the CEO.
“Zelen did not adjust the tariff because we want our customers and the overall macro-economic change to be stable and healthy,” he said.
In her statement, CEO Frehwot Tamru said, “We will have moderate price increases that consider the ability of customers to pay;
But it is not applicable to all customers
Ethio Telecom’s 2017 fiscal year plan mainly:
- To increase the income by 74.7 percent;
- To attract 4.7 million new customers;
- To increase the number of Internet users by 19.1 percent;
- To generate 7.45 million new Telebr customers;
- Plans to launch 5G service in 15 more cities.
The new 2017 fiscal year will be the 3rd and last strategic period.
