Seven of the 21 natural science law students who attended the regular education program at the Federal Prison Commission’s Kaliti Prison Center were able to achieve the results that would allow them to enter the university.
The Principal of Kaliti Correctional Center Primary and General Secondary School, Mr. Samson Ourdmeneh, stated that the students of legal detention, despite being under the shadow of the law, have been attending their studies properly and are qualified for results.
Students said that before taking the release exam, the trial model exam prepared at the national level contributed to their results.
Students called on the Ministry of Education and relevant stakeholders to provide appropriate support to the legal prisoners.
According to the law inmate students who got the results of the 12th class exit exam, they said that they were able to be successful in taking the exam while in prison.
Since their results are a sign of their correction, they asked the Ministry of Justice to make it possible for them to pursue their studies remotely.
