Tadios Tantu, who was accused of spreading hate speech and inciting conflict, was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison and fined.

The Constitutional and Constitutional Matters Criminal Court of the Birth Division of the Federal High Court sentenced Mr. Tadios Tantun to life imprisonment and a fine for three charges in which he was accused and found guilty.

On June 20, 2014, Mr. Tadeos Tantu was charged with spreading hate speech and inciting civil strife by the Ministry of Justice’s cross-border prosecutors.

According to one of the cases presented by the prosecutor, it is a crime to incite public riots on May 11 and March 22, 2014 and on various YouTube channels in violation of Article 32/(1)A and Article 257/A of the Criminal Law issued in 1996.

Regarding the 2nd charge, they were accused by the prosecutor of spreading false information on a YouTube channel on December 3, 2014, in violation of Article 4 and 7/4 of Decree No. 1185/2012 issued to prevent and control the dissemination of hate speech and false information.

In the 3rd case, they were charged with the crime of inciting by spreading false rumors in violation of Article 32/1A and Article 337 of the Criminal Code, with the intention of hindering the movement of the Defense Forces and creating a risk of defense.
It will be recalled that they were accused of spreading.

The court took into consideration the fact that he is the father of 6 children and is a 70-year-old man.
