many people are exposed to vision problems

Due to lack of money, it was said that many people are exposed to vision problems because of not using glasses

Although glasses help to correct vision problems, many citizens cannot use the glasses prescribed by a doctor due to lack of money, the Zewditu Memorial Hospital announced.

The head of the hospital’s social worker department, Sister Winshet Habte, told Bisrat Radio and Television that there are many people who go to the doctor for an eye examination and are told to use spectacles, but due to lack of affordability, there are many people who do not buy them.

As a result, the health condition of their eyes will be seriously damaged, said Sister Wineshet. She said that in 2016, the Zeuditu Memorial Hospital announced the year and winter volunteer program and provided glasses support to 128 citizens.

Addis Foundation, in cooperation with the hospital’s social work department, provided free eye examination and glasses support to citizens who could not pay for treatment.

Support will help these sections of society to fix the visual problems they face due to lack of economic capacity, he said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has visited Mongolia, a member state of the International Criminal Court, for the first time since an arrest warrant was issued for him last year.
He was welcomed by the Mongolian leader in a colorful ceremony held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia in Asia, on Tuesday.
The Russian leader is wanted in court for the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.

A Kremlin spokesman had already said Putin was not worried about being arrested during the visit. Soldiers on horseback were seen in the capital’s square as a live band played a martial song to welcome the Russian leader, who met with Mongolian President Ukhnagin Krulsuk.

On Monday afternoon, a small number of protesters gathered in the square, holding signs that read, “War criminal Putin is not coming here.”
Another protest is planned to take place at noon on Tuesday at Ulaanbaatar’s Monument to Political Oppressors. Ahead of the visit, Ukraine sent a message to Mongolia urging it to contain Putin.

“We call on the Mongolian authorities to comply with the binding international arrest warrant and transfer Putin to the International Criminal Court in The Hague,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a Telegram message.

The Hague-based court said last week that members had an “obligation” to act.
Mongolia has not officially responded to Ukraine and the court’s summons.
