If Ethiopia implements its port agreement with Somaliland

Somalia’s foreign minister was told that Somalia supports the militants in Ethiopia

Somalia warned that it might arm Ethiopian rebels.

After Ethiopia signed a port agreement with the self-governing Somaliland last January, its diplomatic friendship with Somalia has been strained.

Somalia’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiki said that if Ethiopia implements the agreement it made with Somaliland, we can support Ethiopian militants who are fighting an armed struggle.

The minister added, “If the agreement is implemented, we will try to meet with the militants or the rebels who are fighting to overthrow the Ethiopian government.”

“We are not trying to find the militants yet, we have hope that there will be a solution to all the problems,” said the minister, saying that if Ethiopia implements the agreement, there will be a way to help the rebels.
