Two of the 16 people who were on board a boat that was returning from an area called Abulo Arfacho in Kore Zone with a load of bananas sank in Chamo Lake, the police department of the zone said.
Gamo Zone Police Department Public Relations and Image Building Division Head Commander Reta Teklu said yesterday, October 7/2017, at 10:00 a.m., the boat driver and 15 day laborers were carrying bananas from Abulo Arfacho, Kore Zone, to Arbaminchi.
Commander Reta said that two of the 16 people who were on the boat survived by floating on Jerkan, and the police are searching for the 14 who were missing. All 15 passengers went from around Arbamenq to load bananas, Gamo Zone Communication reported.
