“When a tiger needs 2 kilos of meat a day, it won’t eat if the meat is fresh.”
A young man, Birhanu Ngatu, a resident of Isid Kebele, Guba District, Benishangul Gumuz Region, trained a tiger and made it stay with a human for four months.
Young Berhanu Ngatu is a resident of Isid Kebele in Guba district and he said that he accidentally found a female tiger sitting alone in a cave while moving to the forest and brought it home.
Ato Birhanu added that since the tiger was very young at the time, he raised her by buying milk and feeding her 2 kg of raw meat every day.
He explained that the female tiger had difficulty for some days due to the fact that she did not meet her mother during the training session with humans, but after a lot of practice and time, she explained that she is training with all the society more than domestic animals.
Stating that there has been no impact on the tiger’s health so far, the cost of feeding the tiger is becoming increasingly expensive, so he asked the wildlife protection and stakeholders to provide the necessary solution to ensure its safety.
