What makes matters worse is that it is at the castle gate.

Ngatu Mamo, public relations expert of Addis Ababa Fire and Disaster Risk Management Commission, told Fana Broadcasting Corporation that a mother and child were gathering cabbage from their cabbage field on the bank of a river.

However, due to the increase in the flood, when the mother and child were about to be swept away by the flood, the divers and swimmers of the commission arrived and were able to save the lives of the mother and child without any harm.

Eight people lost their lives due to a previous flood in the area, and they said that the water from the river is used to grow cabbage and other crops in this area.

At present, as the winter season has not ended completely, the commission urged caution as there is a risk of flooding in the farmers’ activities to collect the plants.
