The senior leaders of the Oromo Liberation Front, who have been in prison for the past four years, have been released.
Abdi Regasa, Michael Boren, Kesir Ayana, Lemi Begna, Dr. Geda Oljere, Geda Eysana and Dawit Abdeta were released from prison on bail in the evening, according to Lemi Gemechu, head of public relations of the Front.
She learned from the information she gathered that the internet network and mobile voice service has been completely cut off in the entire North Showa zone of Oromia region and in Sululta sub-city of Sheger city administration since 4 o’clock in the morning today.
Sources contacted by Eve stated that they do not know the reason why the network was lost in the mentioned areas.
Eve confirmed that the network did not air this report until 12:00 p.m. at the time of writing.
It is known that the North Showa zone is where conflicts between the government troops and the Amapi group, which calls itself the Oromo Liberation Army, take place, and where armed groups frequently arrest innocent citizens.
