The forces that want to start a war in the eastern part of the country should not forget the existence of a strong defense army” – Field Marshal Birhanu Jula

“The forces that are waging war in the eastern part of the country should not forget that there is a strong defense that respects the sovereignty of #Ethiopia,” the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, warned.

Speaking at the 47th anniversary of the Eastern Command being celebrated in #Jigjiga city today, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula said, “An army has been built to support any expanding power.”

At the inauguration, Ezu said, “The expanding power of #Somalia is a wing of the army that has paid large-scale sacrifices and is proud of the country’s sovereignty.”

“It is necessary to learn from history that war destroys the population and the economy,” said Field Marshal Birhanu Jula.
He said expansionism is a poisonous mindset that invites war.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Tesema, said;
Forgetting the sacrifices made by the army for the peace of the neighboring countries, he urged “the forces that intend to violate the sovereignty of the country by turning the region into a chaos zone to refrain from their actions.”
