The 38-year-old Japanese man has been calling his wife’s phone more than 100 times a day, and when she picks up the phone, he chooses to remain silent.
In early July, a 31-year-old woman in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture, Amagasaki, started receiving strange phone calls from a man who kept quiet until she hung up the phone in frustration.
This went on for weeks, as she was unable to block the calls as they kept coming from unknown numbers.
On most days, she gets dozens of phone calls, but sometimes, the caller calls more than 100 times a day.
Luckily, the phone never rings at night or when she’s playing video games on her husband’s phone.
This made her wonder who the mysterious caller could be.
As the month of July ends and crosses into August, the phone calls increase.
Desperate, the young woman begins to think of ways to expose the caller.
She becomes even more suspicious of her husband when she watches the calls.
He doesn’t call her at night when they’re lying in bed and playing video games on his phone.
Finally, the 31-year-old woman turns to the police to help solve the mystery.
She also indicated that she suspected that her husband might be a criminal.
After an investigation, police officers confirmed the woman’s fears.
Her husband was arrested in Amagasaki for violating Japan’s anti-riot laws.
