It was heard that individuals who were gambling behind closed doors in the grocery store were arrested on the tips of their spouses and families.
Commander Mufti Keder, the Police Commander of Jinila District, said that 13 individuals who were playing gambling after closing the door of Kebele 16 pub in Harar City were arrested.
It is stated that the individuals were gambling with huge amounts of money, and their owners and their families were able to be arrested after a tip-off from the police.
At the time of their arrest, 30,800 Birr was seized.
Among the individuals who play gambling, most of them reported to the police their spouses, and it has been confirmed that it has been a big problem for their family and an obstacle to their lives.
Commander Mufti added to Bisrat Radio and Television that the police will cooperate with the community to take action to prevent this act.
